My long suffering hubby and I live in the East of Scotland. My kitchen floor is constantly muddy and covered with work boots, wellies, riding boots and muddy nets of veg. My washing machine is clogged up with muddy boiler suits and rugby gear and my window sills have a film of dirt during dry days and harvest. However, the countryside we are surrounded by is peaceful, calming, and very very beautiful. We are fortunate to be close to some gorgeous beaches, which are great for relaxing walks and horse riding.
In my spare time I love reading, horse riding, writing and spending time with family and friends.
I’m new to this, blogging and cooking but wanted somewhere to record my recipes, my attempts at cooking and generally whats going on!

I would feel right at home in your kitchen because mine is the same. Way too much stuff for the size and I can’t get rid of any of it. One day I might use it. Thanks for the follow and kind comments, Look forward to your posts.

Glad I’m not the only one with small kitchen issues! We actually got rid of your kitchen and placed a dresser in its place so we have more storage and room to move around. Now we have to eat in the dining room instead! Which I must admit is nice.

Aw thanks, that really nice of you to say. I wish my kitchen was bigger, its tiny, with not a lot of counter space. It can be a challenge. Thankfully we recently added a dresser and got rid of the kitchen table, and now use the dining room more, so got a bit more space to move around and store my ever expanding collection of baking and coking equipment! Lol!

Small kitchens make it harder to cook !! After 14 years in our house we were finally able to add a bunch of cabinets and redo the set up to give us a much more user friendly kitchen. Not done quite yet, but it is already much better !!

They definitely do! That’s so good that you are redoing your kitchen set up,as you’ll be able to modify it to meet your needs. Decorating and finding creative space solutions is also fun! Hope it all goes well xx

Thanks !! It is a process , that is for sure. We just have to do the sink area and a cabinet above it, but my husband has been putting it off for a bit because of the work involved in anything to do with this 90 year old house !! I will be posting pictures in my other blog, http://www.ourcutevintagecottage.com, I plan to blog about it today, so there will be pictures if you are interested , and as we finish it up, I will share that as well. I have some befores, and then lots of durings , lol !!
